UK Singer-songwriter Elli Ingram has been shortlisted for the ‘Best Newcomer’ Prize at this year’s MOBO Awards.
Elli Ingram has managed to turn heads after a triumphant summer, including the panel at the MOBOs.
After having released her debut EP ‘Sober’ in July, Ingram was fortunate enough to perform at this year’s Glastonbury alongside Chase & Status.
“First up, I am so excited to say I’ve been nominated for the ‘Best Newcomer’ prize at this year’s MOBO awards. The nomination is an absolute honor, and I’m pitched against some huge names” said the recent signee of Chase and Status’s independent music label MTA.
Ingram is amongst a handful of british acts, both in urban and pop music that has been nominated for this award, including Etta Bond, Sam Smith and Krept & Konan.
Since having released her cover of Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Poetic Justice‘ earlier this year, which racked up over 300,00 views in just a few months, Ingram has gained the respect from some of the industry’s most well respected names.
Ingram will be performing ‘Mad Love [Video]‘ a release from her EP, on October 27th at Nobu Unplugged.
A copy of the EP can now be purchased on iTunes.
