As an artist, Ezzy admits that her music is “a blend between different genres”, incorporating flavours of Dubstep, R&B and Hip Hop Soul.

Refusing to hone one specific genre or conform to what the industry dictates, Anya has said that she would like to experiment with her music even further. She highlights AlunaGeorge, an electronic duo famous for their single “Attracting Flies”, is a particular sound that attracts her.

The OTCUP’TV team recently had the opportunity to go behind the scenes at the shoot for Ezzy Anya’s first ever music video, for her latest track Fear, filmed at Banksy Tunnel.

Whilst only in the early stages of her journey through music, she has acquired vital experience working with producers at Play Studios in Soho, and recorded demo submissions with producers from Audiofreaks; the music producers for the likes of The Big Reunion (ITV2) and Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway (ITV1).

Yet her work is far from limited to just a recording studio. She has been performing gigs around London and abroad for some time now, and can often be found busking at popular underground stations.

Highlighting her confidence and willingness to promote her product on a personal level through the medium of live performances, Ezzy has demonstrated her dedication to her music. She recently performed as a backing vocalist for Kelis at Lovebox, in what she described as her proudest moment so far!

You can expect to see Ezzy release her official debut EP in the early part of 2014.  In the meantime, make sure you check out her Soundcloud and watch out, as she may be performing somewhere near you!||
