As one of the hottest annual festivals this year, Coachella always delivers with its line-up. And this year is no different as they bring us Outkast, Muse and Arcade Fire as headliners.
Rumours had been surfacing for some time about the return of Outkast, and they were happily confirmed by Coachella organisers. Outkast will be the final act of the Friday of the festival. The last time Outkast were seen together was in 2007, and there is no better way to start off their reunification, headlining Coachella. Prior to them, ticketholders will also get to see Ellie Goulding, HAIM, A$AP Ferg, Kate Nash and many more.
Muse and Arcade Fire will headline respectively the Saturday and Sundays of the festival. Saturday’s lineup will include Queens of the Stone Age, Pharrell Williams, and Lorde. As the final day approaches, expect performances from Calvin Harris, Lana Del Rey, Disclosure, Chance The Rapper, plus many more.
The lineup for Coachella is released annually in January, as festival goers have been waiting in anticipation to discover who they will be seeing, which was announced on Twitter by the festival paying reference to Outkast “Share it like a polaroid picture”. Coachella tickets are seldom in heavy demand and are known for selling out in no time.
Coachella will take place across the weeks of the 11th of April and the 18th of April in its residency of Indio, California. The festival is now in it’s 16th year of existence and always manages to get some of the biggest headlines. Last year’s headliners included The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, and Blur, whilst in previous years it has hosted Snoop Dogg , Dr Dre, Kings of Leon and Kanye West.
