YAOUNDÉBOXINGCLUB is Setting Boundaries and Getting Smiles

This 21-year-old London-based French singer-songwriter-producer (pronounced Yah-oon-day) does it all, and she does it all well. Her sound is refreshing and liberating, her songwriting is powerful, and her voice is clear and melodic; all of these performance elements come together beautifully on this track, which will appeal to younger listeners due to its relatable lyrics.

‘Boundaries’ deals with a very familiar coming-of-age theme that almost everyone can relate to, i.e., self-discovery and realizing one’s worth. The artist pairs her very relatable lyrics about needing some space with a beat inspired by African musical traditions. The result: a calming alt-pop tune that would put a smile on your face. It’s a top contender for the most unexpected feel-good song of the summer. We can even see it on the soundtrack of a YA movie.
